THOUGHTS: Do you think we would be more understanding of one another (males and females) if we spent part of our life as one sex and the other half as the other? Lets say at 30 or 35 you transformed into the opposite sex and yet retained the knowledge of the sex you were before...... I think we might be a little more tolerant with the opposite sex during our second half of life having spent the first half as that same gender. We seem to be wired so completely differently that sometimes it is very tough to understand where the other side is coming from since our thought processes are so completely opposite. Instead, I spent 50 years trying to figure out what makes them tick and do the things they do. Not that their actions were wrong, they were just not the actions I would have taken. The answer was so completely different than anything I expected. I had to completely remove myself from my feelings and thoughts in order to understand that their feelings and thoughts are so very different and yet perfectly normal for them. So, now I have come to terms with how they act and react and understand and I cannot help but think how much more enjoyable my life would have been had I known this early on........ THOUGHTS: I have decided to find or make some little furniture and household items, etc. to put in the hole in the moss. Maybe some tiny fairy wings to lean up against the side of the hole. Anyway, I think I will build what appears to be a little home in the hole. This will make the borrowers / fairies theory a bit more enticing for the little ones when they find the sparklies outside the hole in the moss. THOUGHTS: My project “Leaving Things to be Found” is going so well. It is just a delight when I get to watch someone find something I have left. There are a few spots around town that get found every day and then there are others that are still waiting for a finder. My favorite, of course, is right out in front of my house. We have this mossy area where the moss grows over the sidewalk and there is a hole in the moss and it looks like some little animal or something unknown lives in the hole - I like to pretend it is a fairy or borrower or something like that. So, I leave wonderful little sparkly things just outside the hole. It is just so neat to hear the little ones when they discover what is laying there - even with some of the adults. The funny thing with the adults is that they usually pick it up, look at it and then place it back. The children pick it up and squeal with delight at their great find and run off with it. THOUGHTS: This morning I walked down by the water and had the most wonderful experience. This giant bald eagle flew right over my head, swooped down low over the beach and then back up high in the sky again. Had I been on a ladder I would have been able to touch him as he flew over my head. THOUGHTS: Well, we are in the midst of what is called “the pineapple express”. This is when the air currents brings us weather direct from Hawaii. THOUGHTS: I had a dream that my neighbor had Koala bears in her attic and she was keeping it a secret from me. Well, one day I went over there and the Koala bears were on the front porch sitting in the sun and no one was around. I picked one up and was so happy - because you know, they are the best huggers in the world! They love to just be held and hugged and snuggled - their fur is the softest I have ever felt. So, I just spent the remainder of my dream hugging the Koalas and snuggling into their fur - happy as could be. When I woke up I was so mad at my neighbor for keeping the Koalas secret from me that I had to call her and tell her about the dream and how mad I was when I woke up. THOUGHTS: Well, I am just amazed. We have gotten snow once again. I am nearly stunned to silence. We are usually lucky to get snow once a year, but this year we have had it off and on throughout the winter.....and after I just saw the forsythia (forbonnia) blooming....now that is nearly depressing.
