THOUGHTS: Now I know what it means when the birds eat the berries 2-3 months earlier than usual: Expect an exceptionally cold winter. Well, at least that is what happened this year. I will have to wait and see if the berries all disappear early and we have a harsh winter again sometime, but it seems to be the case. The birds are simply fluffy this year - very rotund and almost downy like feathers for older birds. They have their heavy down parkas on this year! BRRRRR!
