Light shades of various colors in a predominant floral motif throughout. The quilt is made up of thin slices of fabrics that are 5 inches wide and sewn to form rows and then the rows of slices have been sewn together to create this wonderful patchwork quilt. Some slices are as thin as 1/2 inch up to 3 inches in depth. This is a King size shabby chic seaside cottage quilt shown laid on a Queen size bed. You can see from the side of the bed photos that it hangs to the ground on both sides atop this queen size bed. I have been collecting this wonderful stash of pastel mainly floral fabrics for quite some time and now I am cutting into them. About half of the fabrics are Laura Ashwell Shabby Chic fabrics. It was a delight working with these fabrics and the ones I have collected in the same style as the shabby chic series. I love the almost tone on tone concept or the pastels that are just barely there to create flowers. These one-of-a-kind quilts create a very serene look with a cozy used quality about them. I have incorporated some lovely vintage fabrics along with satins, specialty sheers over moda cottons and eyelets. The look of these quilts will make you want to just snuggle in with a good book. 

Most of the fabrics used in this quilt are 100% cotton. This is a handmade quilt. The backing for the quilt is a premium white muslin.

The batting is 100% natural cotton needled batting
100 % cotton with no glues or resins

The fabrics used in this quilt are 100% cottons and a couple of cotton blends. There are some sheers, but all of the finer / sheer fabrics along with the eyelets have been backed by a sturdy moda cotton in different shades. This is a handmade quilt. This quilt has been quilted in a freehand wave pattern as shown in the photos.
