Handmade Strip Quilt 85x61" TWIN SIZE Cotton Turquoise Bl...

Medium shades of turquoise, blue, red, pink, green, white and brown pattern set: Bliss by Moda along with my own stash fabric of tone on tone turquoise all in cotton. The last photo shows the back of the quilt with the center stripe being a darker pink tone on tone filigree and the outer stripes being a lighter pink tone on tone rose - both in a soft cotton flannel.

The fabrics used in this quilt are 100% cottons for the front and 100% cotton flannel for the back. This is a handmade quilt.

Handmade Rag Quilt 88x88" QUEEN SIZE Cotton 5" sq Warm Ribbons Periwinkle Pastel

Medium shades of various colors with a predominant periwinkle blue tone square throughout. The squares are a 5 inch finished size. This is a reversible quilt with both sides having the same pattern and fabrics. One side is a rag quilt and the other side is a standard patchwork quilt with some squares embellished with ribbons. Both sides are shown in photos.

The fabrics used in this quilt are 100% cottons and a couple of cotton blends. This is a handmade quilt.

This queen size quilt measures 88" x 88" which provides a good 16" drop all around the bed - photos of quilt laid out on Queen size bed

This is a NEW One-of-a-Kind handmade quilt

This quilt is created using a single fabric, which is cut into kaleidoscope pieces and pieced back together to create the wonderful and unique quilt you see. This quilt cannot be duplicated, as it would be near impossible to cut the pieces exactly the same for a second time. The first photo shows the lovely kaleidoscope quilt front laid out on a Queen size bed. The 8th and 9th photos shows the back of the quilt which carries a full cut of the single piece of fabric that was used to create this one-of-a-kind quilt prior to being cut into kaleidoscopes. This quilt is totally reversible and either side would work as the top depending upon the look you are after.

The single piece of fabric used in this quilt is Wolfsong by Exclusively Quilters

The framing and backing uses a full panel cut of the front fabric along with 2 colors of Filigree Flourish by Quilt Traditions; Tone on Tone mottled Cotton and a gold cotton for the fine accent stripe around the framing.

The batting is Warm & Natural cotton batting

We just got back from the ocean this week and had such a great time in the fog and with a sunburn.....oh, you sneaky fog! Anyway, I spent most of the week crocheting rocks and hiding them on the beach and then watching people find them from where we were camped. It was so entertaining. There was a little boy who walked back and forth at least a dozen times atop the driftwood and right by the rocks without noticing. Finally he noticed one and picked it up and then tossed it on the ground. Then he played some more and found another one and tossed it on the ground followed by more play. Then he very nonchalantly went down to the second rock and looked around then picked it up and put it under his shirt. He then went to the first rock and picked it up and hid it under his shirt then dashed off to his campsite. An adult came by, saw a rock, picked it up turned it over and checked it out thoroughly and then put it back where it was found. By the end of the week I had added a few crocheted golf balls to the hidden rocks and they disappeared very quickly with a couple rocks. When finally we had to return home there was still a rock waiting to be found and the man camped next to us came over and said he would keep an eye on it. He also brought me the most beautiful pure white rock bigger than my fist with absolutely no imperfections for me to crochet for myself! It is absolutely gorgeous and I stopped on our way home to pick up some black thread to crochet over it with and will put a photo up once it is finished. Aren't people so wonderful!

THOUGHTS: I hate to get stuck on the same subject for too long, but the most wonderful thing happened the other day with the Leaving Things to be Found project. I went out for my evening walk and there on the mossy spot was the object I had left earlier in the day and beside it was the most beautiful little bouquet of flowers (mostly flowers and very little stem - so I am sure they were picked by a rather young person).
